haven't played it but guess they must have a good reason to do it? Read the announcement but it didn't give me a clear idea about the exact reason

From what I read. It was proving too difficult to meet the same requirements that are placed on Boom, Hay Day and Clash. The high end must have been a bit too much pressure or something. There are no specific details that suggest what these requirements are. It seems as though it was pretty popular among those who could play it.

FYI this thread would be better situated in Off topic as it doesn't directly relate to Boom.

So does it mean that they were not clear where the the game was headed from the beginning? Feels like the fault is on devs? Plus if they were not satisfied with the audience, I think comparing BB and CoC with it is not that good at all. Take me for an example, I know nothing about CoC, Hay Day but love BB. Audience would have grown eventually. I think it could have something to do with the sales - falling behind the intended goals or something. Well I feel bad for the ones like me who'd have loved Smash Land. I will bel so lost if SC ever decides to do the same for BB.

Here was also no future to the game with out a big game rework. I played it for a month and I was already near the point where it is just about grinding.

We can but speculate as we have no concrete information. Suffice to say it didn't live up to the standards set by other SC games. You could be quite right about sales. But I suspect there is more too it. Keep in mind this isn't the first canned project they've released only to cancel later. I think they expect the games to live up to the standards of quality set by CoC, HD and BB and I suspect Smashland just couldn't reach that. I did read the forums a bit there and apparently it was more of a casual game for casual players.

Yeah make sense. Anyways it's up to SC to decide what to do with their games. Cause they are all free to play. Learn from the mistakes and do a better one - that's how I choose gfs so guess SC is on the right track

Not exactly - more like SC shutting down its failed projects and starting to work on new ones

EDIT: That sounds bad LOL - on a serious note, I'm have been in a LDR during past 4 years (still on it hehe)
