I'm having so much fun with switching HQ with another building and watching them attacking my Armory

Good one, I haven't succeeded to fool my attackers yet

Love it! Thanks for sharing. I have seen two base that I believe may have been using the same tactic. That is, the Armory was located where one would normally expected the HQ to be. Luckily, both times I caught that and had an easy raid on the first attempt.

I could just imagine your attackers face...

"What!? I blew up his HQ why isn't the attack over!?"

I'm up for an experiment too. I just swapped my buildings. Hopefully I'll get a good laugh just as two others have laughed at me a couple months ago. It's easy to overlook the HQ placement if scouting in a hurry. I learned my lesson after the 2nd time.

I got another type of base today, unfortunately I forgot to take a pic.
It had 3 boosted ICE (28h remaining) and the HQ beached.
 What gives?

Propably he (or she) wants to get a lower vp, as he finds too strong opponents (matchmaking is based on vp level).

But then why would the statues be boosted? I agree that boosting ice statues while beaching HQ makes no sense what so ever.

Maybe he, or she, wants to earn some diamonds and intels, by kiling a few of your troops

Could be because i needed to take out 4 cannons, 2 BCs and 3 sniper tower that were in range.

That is interesting, because I have also run into a couple of bases like that, but without the ice boost. They really did not make sense to me at the time. The few defenses they had covering the beached HQ (covering within Zooka range) were easily removed by shelling prior to landing. So, I was still able to take them out with zero troop loss.  Maybe there are some people who see a beached HQ and assume that it is unprotected hence rush in without scouting effectively.
