My season says 32 days left so hmmmm.....
Rick said seasons were 3 months.  Did not see him say that the first season would be of different duration.

But think about this... it says 32 days now.  So on Monday at launch it was 34 days.  Kind if a wierd number would you say?  Perhaps another bug?

But since i have only 4 mg and 4 towers and every opponent has also 4 mg and 4 towers but additional 2 flamethrower and 2 mortars i don´t have any chance.

I agree.  I just know what has been publicly stated by Rick.  I was on Discord while Rick was there today.  He did make a statement that this would be a shorter season.  He is also going to raise the possibility of resetting this season with the dev team.


He confirmed that warships are supposed to count against the 4 hour per day play time.

Resetting is a good idea only if they have sorted all the issues that have made resetting necessary.

It is not going to be popular but the alternative is worse.

Warships as a fun and competitive addition to the game is broken 🙁


Edit taking a more positive angle though it has potential and now that we have experienced it we can suggest improvements

Yes, everyone starting over.  He did not say this would happen.  He said he would discuss it.  Seems that people are playing warships then stopping because all they are doing is losing.  There was some discussion.  Was hard to follow.  Discord conversations can go quickly.


He did say something about running it longer to flesh out bugs and also said resetting was something that he was going to discuss.  So perhaps run it a bit longer on this season but reset once they stabilize it.


One guy got nasty towards the dev team.  That was where it got crazy.  People trying to talk to Rick.  Rick telling the guy to back off.  People telling the guy to chill out.  Rick trying to answer questions.  It was a bit crazy.

I would be quite happy for them to reset it because it's ridiculous coming up against people with 8 rls multiple proto weapons and I can barely make it to stage 16 with 2 rls
Far too many people taking advantage of the bugs and making it unfair for everyone else

Fix the bugs, update and start from scratch with everyone on an level playing field - and some lessons learned how to play the game.  Resetting the season is not really gonna put anyone out as it's only been a few days (and ohhh so many hours playing)

I think just announce a date to end the season way early. Yes the winner of this season is tainted with controversy but everyone has contributed to ‘testing’ warships for the future good. Draw a line under it and let’s get going proper... but it needs to be right this time.

Or just announce this part of boom beach is in an extend beta until further notice.


Edit in fact the beta idea makes most sense. Players have always said they were willing to test stuff, well this is it. Involve us, apologise, wee gift, let us test it, get feedback, sort it pressure free and test some more. It is separate enough from main game to work.
Own the mistake and move forward with us, we want warships and boom beach to work too.

I'm not much into PvP so I don't think I'll be playing Warships longterm, but it's fun to play just a handful of battles a day for now. I'd rather play a TF Vs TF spinoff with the Warships mechanics. The devs already hinted at this, so that's probably in the pipeline.


Warships seem to be designed to force players to use different troop combos. Old popular troop combos such as tank-medic doesn't work in Warships because it's too slow, and smoky warriors/zookas is just useless with multiple engine rooms.

Good point woozie, Warships was a big rewrite of code to help allow other aspects of the game for the future that many players have requested, such as tf vs tf and quality of life improvements.

I feel we really need to support RickC and supercell in getting this to work. Our boom beach futures depend upon it.

Where warriors come in handy is in engine room mismatches.  If you have more ERs than your opponent (yes this happens), all you have to do is destroy one ER and retreat.  Odds are strongly in your favor that you will win because they will probably not destroy all of your cores and you will win based on time.  # of ERs left is a tie breaker.  It only gets used if the time left is the same.  So if you can end with a quicker time and at least one ER destroyed you get the victory even if your opponent destroyed more ERs

You can use warriors and SZ to quickly get to an ER, take it down then retreat.  You could also use barty to kill one ER if you have upgraded your artillery and barrage.

So you could also just bart an engine room and then retreat?


In any case, this seems something that is not intended and probably due to change, right?

They changed that with the update.  No longer works.  Now the engine rooms remaining are a factor in the win.
