Better than Ws!!

Not possible. We know the Santa Bomber has poor knees and can't move quickly. Whereas, the main point of Warriors, and most of the fun of using them, is their ridiculous speed.

We already have a several long-range high-damage troops in the game. Rainmakers and grens are the most similar, but there are the other protos as well. The thought process that gave us Angry Santa doesn't seem very ... creative.

Meanwhile, Warriors continue stand by themselves. Using them is like nothing else in the game. But maybe "stand" is the wrong word to use, here. Cuz I'm running circles around all o' y'all with these boys. 🤣

Quick update

Just reached 1400vp Marshal I, 27 local, 936 global, 531 unboosted, no ice, no prototypes.

Now I need another arbitrary target to reach 🤪🙂

congrats! The no protos seems a particularly brutal exercise.

Thanks.

The no protos is the least arduous of the stupid conditions I put on myself 🙂
In fact the protos are completely meaningless without boosted ice and shields which I obviously didn’t have. No sense have shields without boosted ice and I was late accumulating pp with psc so I wanted to try and get a stash before seriously pushing.

It took 8 months to increase my vp from 1330 on on my local leaderboard to 1400.

Not boosting my suboptimal 531 statues was to give me a closer experience of the boosted masterpieces (the rest will be ice) I will be using when I decide to push. That is tougher and my real limit is 5/5 bases and I only attempt them if I have plenty of gold. I guess I still have some practicing to do 😉

I was getting raided and destroyed 13 times a day when I started and this quickly changed to 14 times but the real killer is these weird episodes of not getting much pvp spawns to kill despite a permanently clear map. There were times I had to change opponents so I don’t consider that weird to have less pvp spawns but on totally clear map days only getting 6-8 spawns over several days really sends you backwards when you lose 14 bases a day.

A big thing that helped me was joining a taskforce of very experienced players shortly after reaching my local leaderboard. Learning a lot.

I don’t think, in fact I am positive, that my vp will not climb any higher without changing my conditions. 1400 is very finely balanced for the conditions I am playing with.

So why am I not pushing? Well as I have said on many threads, pvp is broken. Until it is fixed there is no sense in wasting finite resources (pp and protoparts, although these are much easier to get nowadays) on a broken system that is just going to frustrate me.
I get my fun and challenge from what I am doing just now so all good 🙂

Sadly Rick has been particularly quiet about handling the leaderboard blocking.
It seems it shouldn't be that hard to track how long each account is running protected and censure accordingly.

well its taken them years to take action, so I wouldn't expect to see more banning until at least 2021 and two community managers later.

Another milestone, my first global leaderboard opponent and it was global number 2.

My heart sank as I expected him to be blocking but I got in fairly quickly about 30 mins or so of tapping so probably legit or I was very lucky. It is a shame that my first reaction was automatically negative.

Not my best attack and I had all the advantages. He was 7 ice but only masterpieces boosted. I was unboosted but had tribal barrage and zookas.

Major buzz 🙂

I thought I would post this attack as it has grown on me.
Don’t worry I won’t be posting much of these (my iPad couldn’t handle it anyway). I thought I would show an interesting hit since as I said in another thread most hits follow a pattern or at least so far they have.

Initially I didn’t think much of it and I only shared it with my task force because it amused me that my practice attack actually took the base down. I often have an initial “scouting” attack to get the feel of a base that might be tricky.

The barrages were unlucky, used an extra art on each target which when unboosted is often the difference between success and failure.
The landing and smoking was poor and the flare slightly left of where it should have been.
You will also notice delays in flaring or shocking as I am looking elsewhere for activations or better placement or gbe options.
But also I got a fair slice of luck too. Troops staying under smoke, only one rocket hitting zookas and how Bullit walked.
Biggest difference was the zooka near the end surviving a shock launcher long enough to distract it again.
Luck plays a huge part in boom beach 🍀🙂 but it is a great feeling when it works in your favour for a change.

All in all not bad for a practice hit 🙂

I like shock knuckles but 99% of the time there is a better option. If you mean the teleporting then I did it a lot when it was first discovered. I believe it is good for mine clearing on certain ops but that is above my pay grade. If it is something else then I am not aware of it.
I do recommend experimenting with different abilities and troop combos whenever there is spare gold and the sooner the better as gold gets more scarce the higher the vp. I wish I did more as I am weak with well everything other than rzcm and hz and weakest with warriors. I just didn’t practice enough with them. If I can’t take a base with rzcm or hz then I can’t take it. Might be different if I boosted but then I would have my boosted first choices... 🙂

Teleporting? What hack do you have 😂!

Warriors are difficult the less GBE you have, possible yes. And a TH helps a lot, but hard to pull off with shield gens and high BH.

I was  just wondering. I love shock knuckles, it’s cheap, but tricky to use on times. It would be good for someone else to share my love of bullit.

Sadly it isn’t much use with warriors or grens (he keeps getting hit by the grenades 😂)

It’s all in the timing 🙂

Sorry, you are not allowed to see this part of the text. Please login or register.

I can’t remember where I first saw it but someone showed zmot and he did a video on it.

The YouTube vid above shows it at it’s most simple.
Shock knuckles
Shock Bullit mid jump
Smoke him(optional, I didn’t) to reduce damage while shocked
Flare where you want to go

It is repeatable while you have gbe.
I have teleported him up and then back again but the farther from the shore the harder the timing. You can go anywhere with no range limits.

Have fun 🙂
