Season 5 - Warships - Iron Tier: Awful!

What has this game become? I'm at level 12 in the iron tier and the play is just wrong.

I'm matched with players who only have 5 or 6 maxed defenses so you cannot barrage their second engine room or i'm challenged with people cheating with the retreat button where the opponent hits retreat and fires barrage your remaining engine room while their troops are going back to their landing crafts with the opponent winning the game every time.

I have everything maxed up to the third engine room and I don't plan on unlocking the third engine room.

If you don't unlock the next ER then you are gonna be stuck with opponents who can just barrage you all the time

Well I unlocked the third ER last night and gameplay is even worse! With 3ER's its now a case of who can barrage your engine rooms first. No one deploys any troops at this stage.

They really need to boost the health of the lower level engine rooms. They are so easy to take down with max art and barrage.

I saved up enough so when I opened 3 I went straight to 4. WS is already getting old.

Yes, that's why you need to hurry and get to 4 ER. If you hit all the ER's right when there are three, you can finish is 5-7 seconds. If you are off a little bit, it may take one more artillery that leads to a loss even if you took only 10 seconds.
