New Tribes

Got max raw crystals, near max resources from crab, haven’t collected my resource boat for weeks and these tribes are so bad that I am not going to use any of them on principle.

That is a dire set of tribes. The original leak had rocket launcher life leech and I thought wow that is so interesting but the rest are terrible, now it is all just terrible.

Why make your customers unhappy?
Wouldn’t it be better to make your customers happy so they hang about and spend money?

I cancelled my instant troop training earlier today. I wish I had waited till I saw these tribes so I could blame these tribes for the cancellation. Pitiful just pitiful

IMO, what would be really interesting is if the tribes buffed a characteristic of the troop that is actually useful.
For Heavies, thats pretty much just health. Zookas, speed or damage is good. Tanks, pretty much anything would be useful, speed, health, damage, range.
For Cryos, beam range extension would be useful, or increased rate of fire.

Exactly. Use the tribes to make it different. Change the gameplay up a bit. Buff things in ways we can’t with our statues. Or make it a big enough boost that it’s really interesting.

Shiskabobber on his tribal discussion video changed to hzcm to make the best of the tribes for some hits. He did some good hits and said it worked and was fun. I asked him if he thought the tribal boosts had a significant effect on the success of his hits and the troop combos effectiveness. His answer was not really...

1. Resource Reward - marginal after a crab
2. Heavy Damage - meaningless other than novelty hits
3. Cryo Heath - meaningless
4. Medkit boost - useful but unexciting
5. Rocket damage - squishy troop players will still bart them or shock them, medkit counters for all else.
6. Flame thrower health - same as above

Nothing here is exciting and surely that is the point of the tribes.
Because in my opinion this is a strong defense cycle due to the weak offense then the vast majority of my pvp spawns are heavy on the ice as it makes sense to boost it for defends.

I boosted the RL damage only. Might be good for a few extra Intel. The rest isn't worth bothering with.

The BB team is blowing it.

My thinking is, it doesn't really matter whether warships are good or not because they've neglected to improve all the basic things that are lacking in the game. Warships doesn't fix recruiting, freshen up all the stale OP and event layouts, give trader deals that aren't insulting to players. Those are the fundamental things that keep the game healthy. Their priorities are screwed up. Now we're not getting the crab due to this interminable update.

Warships has involved a rewrite of a lot of game code which will form the basis of the sort of changes you are talking about.

It is what comes after Warships that has my interest.

There are currently 76 Op base maps, not counting DX.

Deep Cut has the highest variety, with 54 possible maps, Milk Run has the lowest variety with just 19 possible.
Would be nice if they found a way to create some new maps, as the optimal strategies for all these maps was worked out ages ago.
