New software and new themes
« on: Sep 23, 2018, 11:48 PM »
So I've updated the software to SMF, default is a new theme - there are other themes you can choose from your profile

Let me know if you come across any bugs etc.

No issues so far except when I just logged in, I needed to change to a new password which I did after answering a question I created last month.

EDIT: Testing edit of post by clicking Modify Button.  It works.  :)

Same thing for me. Had to redo password, agree to privacy, rules, etc. I'm playing around with the different themes. So far they seem a bit harder to read but it may be the newness. The buttons need clicked a few times to respond in places.

Looks good! Is there a mobile version of the site?

Using the Curve theme, but seems a tad small.

There doesn't appear to be a way to login if you choose to view the desktop site rather than mobile, unless I'm missing something

Oh and just noticed my signature pic gets cut in half on the mobile site but corrects itself when switching to desktop view

Edit: looks like this issue is limited to the Comet theme. Switched to the curved theme and everything looks fine now

Just noticed that Karma is located below our forum names.  We have the option to applaud or smite the poster based on his or her post.  Prior to recent change of new forum software, we had the option to like a post.

The last time I saw the word "smite" used was during a heated discussion when the Forum Reputation System was on a trial basis and upvotes and downvotes were available in the Supercell Hay Day subforum.

EDIT1: Can't modify above post twice, Modify Button and Remove Buttons are unavailable.

EDIT2: Able to edit this post twice. Modify Button and Remove Buttons are available.

EDIT3: If we use the Quick Reply option, the Modify Button and Remove Buttons will be unavailable.

Cannot edit a previous posting posted before the change in forum software.
But I can Modify this message, so maybe it only effects old posts.

YouTube Video links used to show in line (the photo) but now only appear as a link and open the YouTube page in a new window/tab.
I like the in line display as it presents the shot of the Vid you are about to see. A link has no appeal.

After modifying the above post twice all Edit/Modify functions disappeared.
That is not so good. Better if we had access to Edit or Modify post as many times as we wish.

I like the layout and being able to choose themes. I only use the forum on my phone and non of the themes feel mobile friendly. The old layout was a nice fit. Could we have an option to use that layout if we are on a mobile device. Otherwise keep up the good work guys!

Its not too bad, but I have following issues:

1. Need mobile layout.
2. Reduce amount of screen space used for user stats. Or, provide compact layout theme.
3. Support for unlimited post editing.
4. Support for markdown post formatting.
