To put this to rest I undertook the ultimate journey for answers!
I traveled to the island and asked the villagers about the video, most of them wouldn’t speak to me as They were too busy laughing. But I managed to speak to one person on two grounds 1) their name was not mentioned 2) we didn’t tell hammerman. So this is published on a “need to know basis”.
Ok, well, the first assertion in that video is all wrong:
It is based around the claim that there is no power source- yet we can clearly see the radar on the Hq which does work. It gets upgraded along with the HQ. The bigger radar has solar panels on it at later stages and dispenses with the pointy bit in the centre of the radar.
Originally it was a back up to the HQ (the earlier models looked the same).
If you look at the side of the HQ on lower levels you can see some copper pipes. This is to harness geo thermal energy.
The island is in the middle of an archipelago that has volcanic activity. And, as we can tell, the island itself it looks like it is a partly collapsed crater. Currently there is no active volcano. But These are perfect conditions for geothermal energy. It is also harnessed somewhat with our mines.
Yes, the cliffs are a bit “too” perfect. And yes we did do a bit of chiselling. Anyone with a rudimentary education will realise there there are different kinds of rocks - each has its on characteristics and uses! It’s not all about the mine! And We can actually see the different layers of rock!
Removing the top loose layer of rock was important for 2 reasons.
Firstly, The trees had started to break up the loose surface rock. This needed to be removed to make it safe.
Secondly, there was a lot of pumice there! This made the island prime property. The only source of fresh water is the rain. This filters through the pumice and is collected behind the island. The flat areas are designed to capture as much water as possible.
The waterfall is quite simple, behind the island, where we capture the water is a treatment plant. This is powered by tidal and wave energy schemes - running the water up the hill and creating a waterfall! It not only looks attractive but - the pool at the bottom can be used for bathing. The water is quite warm after flowing up the rocks, and the saltiness helps create a nice buoyant spa experience! The water itself then seeps through various pumice filters to remove the excess salt where it can be purified. This can be used in times of water shortage in the dry season.
I should point out that we take the environment *very* seriously. Only *natural* products are allowed to be used in the pool. There is a list and using anything that is not on the list is prohibited. Use of such products can result in permanent eviction from the island.
We are constantly u see threat from the war factory, DrT and operations causing much pollution. The war ship we created has only added to the pollution. Any little thing we can do to offset this helps!
Look out for vacancies coming shortly for scientists with a strong environmentally sound background of developing new technologies!
