What games do you guys play besides boom?
« on: Oct 22, 2018, 08:53 PM »
I'm more looking for new games than sharing games that I play, but I figured I'd pop the cherry on this unused sub anyways.

The only other game that I do play regularly besides Boom is Big Bang Racing.  It's a very fun side scrolling dirt bike/off road racer (ghost racing, not real time) that is all user built tracks.  Definitely recommend it if you're into that genre.  It's almost like a modern day Excitebike.

I've tried all the other Supercell games.  Hay Day got to be too much going on to be fun, never liked CoC, and I go through phases with Clash Royale.  Usually it brings me more anger than enjoyment so I try to stay away from it.

I tried Fortnite since it's wildly popular, but I just don't get the appeal.  Didn't help that it seemed like every time I logged on to try and play a game, there was another 500mb update I had to download.  Got annoying real quick, ended up just deleting the app.

So what else ya got??

I love RPG games on ANDROID, but it's hard to find normal game, because it will lead to P2W... And you just stuck at level till you grind for next level. It's sad.

EDIT: also I started World of Tanks Blitz. Amazing game.

Strategy and Building games are my kind. Especially the completionist stuff that exist in those games.
Worship the 9 Titans (Golem, PEKKA, Lava Hound, Dragon, Giant Skeleton, Scorcher, Super PEKKA, Electro Dragon, Goblin Giant)

Yet to find any game that is comparable to BB, played Star Wars: Commander for a while but when upgrades take a week to finish and unless you spend money then defending is impossible it makes you lose interest very quickly

I stopped trying to find a game that is comparable to Boom Beach a long time ago.  Tried a few but quickly realized that I should just stick with the game that I'm already familiar with rather than learning a new game that is basically the same.

But I do want to share a new game find!  I looked up that World of Tanks Blitz game that Fogeris had suggested, and honestly it didn't really do much for me.  However, in searching for "tanks", I discovered a game called "Tanks A Lot" and it is amazing!  I've been playing it practically non stop.  My understanding is that it is similar to Brawl Stars, but I've never played that since Supercell thinks only Canadians would like it.  You basically control a customizable tank and try to blow up other tanks in various game modes.  There are 3 on 3 deathmatches, battle royales, soccer games, and capture the flag type games.  It's a top down view (which I like), and it uses a chest and card upgrade system similar to Clash Royale.  It was pretty easy to pick up on the basic gameplay and strategy, too, which is a big thing for me.  A lot of times there is so much to learn when you start a new game and I just wanna play.  The only thing it seems to be missing at this point is any sort of team play, but it does appear that they are working on something.  It would be cool to have that, but if not it's certainly not gonna stop me from playing it.

I highly recommend checking it out:

Yeah, Tanks A Lot really fun game :). But why I choose World of Tanks, because it's more serious :).

Stupid Zombies is an entertaining little time killer, not really involved.

The tank game I've been fixated on forever is Combat (or as Orr likes to call it, Tank Pong), but unfortunately many of the classic Atari games aren't available in the App Store. Does this age me?
